Tariq was appointed SVP IT - MEAIT in January 2021. Tariq and his senior team are responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day delivery of IT services and solutions for all Accor brands in South Asia, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa and for the technical integration of brands headquartered in the region.
His most recent appointment was VP IT Brand Integration MEA where brand integration is a key strategic function to ensure newly acquired brands headquartered in the region are integrated successfully into Accor network.
Prior to joining Accor, Tariq was Vice President – IT Infrastructure & Operations for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. In this role he was responsible for developing the IT infrastructure and security framework and policies to enable the company to update complex legacy systems ready for ambitious growth. This included developing a strategy to ensure technology solutions could be effectively scaled to meet increasing demands and enhancing security to meet increasingly rigorous international standards.
