Designed by Cini Boeri and made in Italy using historic crystal blowing practices, the Cibi is crafted from the finest crystal by skilled artisans in Colle Vall d’Elsa, a town renowned for its historic crystal making practices.
The Cibi glass first achieved world-renowned fame in the seminal 1982 sci-fi film Blade Runner, when Harrison Ford’s character Rick Deckard can be seen drinking from the statement glass and it has remained a cult icon of contemporary design ever since.
It takes years of experience, and each time the process is almost magical, the variables changing according to the moment and the skill of the craftsman. Melting, lifting, and blowing, all give life to the object that is being formed.
The small bubbles and slight differences in thickness around the edges clearly demonstrate their products are handmade with a uniqueness of its craftsmanship.
