Launched in 1990, INDEX has successfully been connecting the world with the Middle East design community for 28 years now.
The exhibition hosted a number of knowledge-sharing seminars and on-site interactive features which attracted more than 27,000 visitors. INDEX also launched the Middle East’s first-ever Ventura Project – a one-off collection of 40-plus contemporary European designers brought exclusively to Dubai for the event.
INDEX 2018 kicked off at a time of huge growth for the interiors industry in the Gulf. Market analysts Ventures Onsite, estimate $9 billion will be spent on interior contracting and fit-out in the region before the end of 2019.
According to the report, the interiors industry is valued at its highest within the residential and hotel sectors. Demand for interiors and fit out are set to remain strong in 2019 as the GCC building construction projects expected to be completed are forecast to be worth US$ 75bn this year across residential ($26bn), hospitality ($13bn), commercial real estate ($10bn), healthcare ($10bn), education ($4bn), retail ($3bn) and other miscellaneous sectors which collectively account for an additional $9bn worth of projects.

“To be honoured with the award of Best Event Marketing Campaign of the Year is a testament to our team’s ability to innovate and think outside the box to present visitors with new concepts each year.”
The 2019 edition of the show returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 17-19th September 2019 as part of the newly launched Middle East Design & Hospitality Week. Seven of the most influential design and hospitality focused exhibitions will come together to connect more than 2000 exhibiting companies and over 50,000 visitors with one another.
