An Andalusian flavour at the St Regis Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club
Andalusian elegance is at the heart of Dubai's newest dedicated polo development, officially launching in the Emirate next month.
The St. Regis Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club will open its doors on February 1.
Costing AED1billion, the project's sensational 136-room hotel is the centerpiece of a six-million-square-foot equestrian sports complex set amongst a lush green landscape in up-and-coming Dubailand.
The resort features 96 guestrooms and 30 suites - the signatures of which are two 2-bedroom Royal Suites, each comprising a living room with dining area, kitchen and a large balcony from where a hot tub overlooks the polo fields.
Boasting a 'serene level of sophistication', its interiors were designed by British architects U+A Architects.
The firm were inspired by traditional Andalusian architecture in their work, adorning the vast new property with coastal colors, detailed accessories and intricate patterns.
Pre-launch images show light, airy bedrooms featuring geometric designs in shades of blue and gold. The rooms also come decorated with polo-themed imagery, with all furnishings darkened wood with gold detail.
Each bathroom is a mix of white marble and grey tile, with jungle shower, deep bath and his-and-hers washbasins.
The suites offer lighter purple tones against the gold, with stunning standalone tubs in the bathroom.
As well as the hotel accommodation, the widescale development also comes with 25 villas, each rendered in gold and white. They come with tiled flooring and vast living space, their walls home to aged polo memorabilia.
The resort offers a refined choice of indoor and outdoor venues for guests and residents. Culinary excellence promises to be its hallmark, with the club featuring dining across six venues: The Grill Pit steakhouse, offering flavours of the Mediterranean; Taperia, Tapas and Spanish cuisine; the Equestrian Lounge; the St. Regis Polo Bar; and Oasis – a pool side restaurant.
