ABOUT LAMIA BENHIDA
My father is a passionate architect and I developed a passion for the trade at a very young age, so I naturally pursued interior design studies.
I started with an art preparatory school in Paris which lead me to “Ecole des Beaux-arts de Lyon” where I experimented with many art materials and explored different ways of being creative. 3 years later, I graduated from Paris Itecom Arts & Design school, in interior design and scenography specialty. I moved back to Morocco right after my graduation with enthusiasm and ready to take my first steps in the world of interior design.
Agadir, a city along Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast, is a growing market for the housing industry, so my jump into interior design came very quickly. I began working on projects such as coffee shops, restaurants, office design, private interior design; this helped me to build up my knowledge, practice and improve my skills.
What I love most about being an interior designer is the proactive side of the job, you must be reactive on a construction site. Being a good analyst is a MUST. You have to genuinely understand and identify the goal of the project. The design you propose is not about you, it’s about the person you work with. It’s important to keep that in mind because then again, it’s always about adjusting and adapting yourself to a need until it feels right.
My company, Creativ’Interiors, was born 5 years ago and enabled me to keep working on different projects with great excitement and grow consistently.
