Finding reliable information about the latest travel regulations, testing requirements and safety regulations can be challenging. We have compiled a list of answers to the most frequently asked questions from our participants in order to help you plan ahead and make your experience at INDEX Exhibition as seamless as possible.
Vaccinated travellers to the UAE are not required to present a negative result PCR test for COVID-19 at the airport of departure. However, those who are not vaccinated must either present a valid, negative result of an PCR test conducted within 48 hours before arrival.
Ensure you have medical travel insurance with international coverage that covers COVID-19 before travelling. You will need to sign a declaration to bear all costs of quarantine and treatment and complete a health declaration form before departure confirming you are not displaying any symptom
Do I need a PCR test to travel to Dubai?
From 26 February 2022, passengers travelling to Dubai from all countries (GCC included) must fulfil one of the below requirements
Present a valid vaccination certificate(s) reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code
Present a valid negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours after the sample was collected and issued by an approved health service provider with a QR code
Present a valid medical certificate with a QR code issued by the relevant authorities that the passenger has recovered from COVID‑19 within 1 month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival
What happens on arrival at the Dubai International Airport?
All arrival passengers have their temperature taken with thermal screening devices.
Passengers from selected countries will be required to take another PCR test on arrival at the Dubai International Airport.
Currently there is no quarantine requirement in place when arriving in Dubai; however you may be asked to take another COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result.
If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.

Where can I get a PCR test in Dubai?
The venue will have a PCR testing facility onsite for those who require a test on leaving the country after the event. This will be available for Exhibitors and Agents only. Below is a list of testing centres that are located within 15 minutes driving of the Dubai World Trade Centre.

How much does the PCR test cost?
PCR tests cost between 85 AED (23 USD) and 180 AED (49 USD) in the UAE. Verify the cost with your testing facility first.
What happens if I test positive?
If you test positive for COVID-19 you must contact the Dubai Health Authority which will instruct you for further action in compliance with the government procedures.

All hotels in Dubai are open, with strict hygiene and safety measure in place to safeguard their guests.

What is the dmg events All Secure protocol?

These standards will work in conjunction with advice from Public Health Authorities and venues to ensure our events are operating in accordance with local rules as well as meeting international standards.
Everyone will be screened by contactless temperature checks prior to entering the venue, either by handheld devices or thermal cameras.
What if I have a high temperature?
In the case of a high temperature, you will be asked to step aside to cool down. If the high temperature persists, you will be directed to a designated medical area to re-check your temperature and take any necessary medical procedure such as doing a PCR test.
What happens if I get sick at the venue?
You will be taken care of by our medical team who are following the Dubai Health Authority regulations.
How do you ensure physical distancing at the event?
All social distancing measures are no longer in place, as per the latest guidelines. Sanitisation & masks are still mandatory inside the venue.
Signage will be installed at key locations across the venue to spread awareness about safety regulations
How often is the venue sanitised?
A full venue sanitisation will be conducted at the end of every event day.
Cleaning is carried out between breakout sessions, broadcasting sessions and lunch times at the conferences and workshop areas.
Sanitisers are also installed at key locations: at entrances to the venue, entrances to halls and meeting rooms, F&B outlets, washrooms, within parking areas, service yard restrooms and in all meeting rooms.
