Bishop Design Bolsters Creativity with Fresh Talent to Fuel Global Ambitions

Among the exciting new additions is Kimberly Dean, who steps into the brand-new role of Associate Director. In this pivotal position, Dean will work closely with Managing Director Mehmet Aktash, helping to strategize the next steps for Bishop Design while also alleviating the demands of the studio. This will allow Aktash the luxury of time to focus on spearheading the brand's growth. As the company begins laying the groundwork for further expansion—some of which, while still under wraps, are sure to make waves—Dean will play a critical role in supporting both the team’s needs and the overall growth of the business.
With eight years of experience in the design and fit-out industry, Dean’s background in marketing, sales, and business development aligns seamlessly with the company’s strategic goals. “I am thrilled to join the Bishop Design team,” Dean shared, “and look forward to working closely with the leadership team to drive our objectives and foster continued growth.”
The team also welcomes Paula Sastre as Design Project Manager, bringing her extensive experience as an interior designer and project manager from Spain to Dubai. Sastre will lead the charge in ensuring that projects maintain the high standards of quality and excellence Bishop Design is known for, while serving as a vital point of communication between clients and the design team to ensure seamless project execution.
Additionally, Mandi Carrillo and Ma. Jean Paulyn join as Design Managers. Carrillo, with over thirty years of experience, has long been part of the region’s design landscape, while Paulyn brings a diverse skill set to the role. Together, they will oversee internal team communication and ensure that the finer details of each design meet the firm’s high standards across its growing portfolio.
The design department has also been strengthened by the addition of Dayu Djuanda as Senior Interior Designer. With a combined three decades of experience spanning corporate, hospitality, F&B, and government sectors across Asia, India and Australia, Dayu’s expertise promise to inject fresh creative energy into Bishop Design’s expanding design portfolio.
Further complementing this growth is Sandeep Nayar, stepping into the newly created role of Post Contract Design Manager. Nayar’s experience in ensuring smooth project execution will play a vital role in upholding the firm’s commitment to excellence, particularly as Bishop Design takes on increasingly complex, large-scale projects.
