INDEX Contemporary Majlis Design Competition - Overview

The majlis is traditionally the heart of any Arabic home - the welcoming room where families meet and socialise with friends.  With the new younger generation now designing their own homes, the majlis is evolving into a space that combines tradition with contemporary and cutting edge design.

Once again, a team of independent judges will shortlist six candidates from across the GCC, who will then create their contemporary majlis spaces at the INDEX International Design Exhibition 2012 for final judging.
