Her clients include national and multi-national retailers and manufacturers of products for Interiors – ranging from carpets to cutlery. The success of her trend forecasting with clients has led to the opening of Scarlet Opus businesses in Qingdao – China (Sourcing) and Dubai (Interior Design). She is the Industry Specialist Lecturer of Trend Forecasting at The University of Huddersfield in the UK where she tutors final year BSc, MSc and BA Degree students of Design. Victoria writes trend articles for a number of trade journals and newspapers including monthly trend features for Furniture News, Tile UK and Carpet & Flooring Review, and has features in Grazia!, The Independent and Identity (Dubai) as well as providing trend information to TV shows such as Channel Five’s ‘I Own Britain’s Best Home’. She presents trend seminars and workshops at industry shows and conventions including ‘Interiors – Birmingham’, ‘Decorex – London’ and ‘Surfaces – Las Vegas’. Victoria has recently been appointed as the Trend & Colour Expert on the ‘Fun On The Floor’ panel and will be representing them in the UK National media, playing a significant role in the yearlong PR campaign to the consumer. Victoria previously held roles as Design Manager and Design Director with home products and textile manufacturers and in these capacities worked to develop product ranges for high street retailers.
