evitavonni was established in 2007 with an interior design gallery in Chobham, England, show-casing designs for kitchens, bathrooms, interiors and gardens, as well as a range of stylish accessories. The launch of the first range of opulent fabrics and beautiful bedding, in September 2010, coincided with the opening of their trade showroom in the prestigious Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
Classic Couture Design
The exceptional beauty and quality of evitavonni fabric designs is borne out of Design Director Kate Erwich’s passion for classic couture design, craftsmanship and quality.
The fabric collections are produced by specialist weavers around the world, including some of the UK’s few remaining heritage mills.
The focus is on natural, noble fibres – wool, linen and silk – in a softly, restrained signature palette of warm greys and nudes through to charcoal, plum and navy.
Rich and warm, the fabrics impart a relaxed yet refined ambiance suitable for a variety of commercial and residential environments.
Exquisite bedding…and a new range in the autumn
Beauty, quality and comfort epitomises the evitavonni bed linen collection.
Created using only the finest Egyptian cotton, the range exudes a quiet sophistication in subtle shades of grey, ivory, white, taupe and pale blue.
The six designs are handmade in Italy and are named after the romantic destinations of Tobago, Barossa, Portofino, Piacenza, Perugia and Capri. Four designs are finished in understated sateen sheen and two in percale.
Individual designs include a rolled edge tone on tone border, pin tucking, hemstitching and a self-sateen stripe. Each design includes two sizes of pillowcase and a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover and valance in a range of sizes from single to super king.
The finishing touches are now being put to the company’s second collection of bed-linen which will be launched this September. The range, including jacquard designs, will more closely reflect the current Portrait Collection of soft furnishing fabrics and will be woven with increased thread counts of up to 630.
Complementary cushions and throws
evitavonni has a range of cushions and throws, to complement the soft furnishing and bedding ranges. In a palette of soft neutrals and navy, they work beautifully both in living rooms and bedrooms.
Throws and cushions in The Heritage Collection are an English-woven silk and lambswool mix; throws are finished with fringes or self-tassels.
The Portrait Collection includes specially engineered designs on cushions and throws based on Greta, one of the most popular designs in the new fabric Collection. Olivia is 91% wool and 9% silk with a brushed finish, available in grey, natural, black and navy. Vivienne is 92% wool and 8% silk with a woven finish and currently comes in grey and navy.
Fontaine is a woven marbled design developed on a silk organza warp with a wool weft: for the coordinating cushion, the fabric has been brushed to produce a more raised pile and a softer touch.
The Fabric Collections Defined
The Henley Collection
Elegant fabrics inspired by the elements - air, sea and earth – in a subtle palette of colours with evocative names including atmosphere, smog, twilight and dusk ; ice, pearl and frost ; sand, cinder and rock.
Heavier velvets and mohair are balanced with rich cottons and shimmering silk sheers. Texture is hero: fabrics are embroidered or embellished in new and innovative ways to create a Collection that invites you to touch and feel.
The Heritage Collection
Launched in the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Collection is quintessentially British: gorgeous texture and feel is synonymous with the range which reflects the heritage and values of the British textile industry.
The core of the collection is woven in traditional mills in the North of England and the entire range has the same quality tailoring aesthetic: the use of the finest wool, angora, alpaca and linen threads results in exceptional fabrics with heightened finish and handling qualities.
An assortment of interesting textures and patterns including a bold ikat design come together in a delicate palette of aged-silver, stone-grey and smoky-beige.
The Portrait Collection
Inspired by the matchless glamour of Hollywood in the 1930s and 40s; the stars, the photography, the interiors and the exceptional gowns created by costume designers such as Edith Head and Adrian.
Wool, linen and silk are used in a softly, restrained signature palette of warm greys and charcoals but with the addition of some sensuous nude tones and a sophisticated navy.
Combined with lushly textured weaves, jacquards and embroidery, the resulting fabrics are rich and opulent without being overpowering. Subtle sheens are produced by incorporating soft metallic yarns.
Note to Editors
The evitavonni vision began in 2007 with an interior design gallery in Chobham, England, show-casing designs for kitchens, bathrooms, interiors and gardens, as well as a range of stylish accessories.
The evitavonni trade showroom, catering for national and international interior designers, architects and specifiers opened in September 2010 and is located in the prestigious Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
The following year the interior design gallery relocated to much bigger premises in Farnham, Surrey. The store seamlessly blends interior design services with lifestyle retailing including room sets, fabric collections, furniture, accessories, bed and bath products and gifts. Flowers by evitavonni, the in-house floristry service, further enhances the in-store experience.
