International and local interior design industry players meet at INDEX KSA

Exhibition meets with phenomenal response from exhibitors and visitors. The best from the international interiors design sector showcased for the first time in the Kingdom.

JEDDAH, KSA, 9^th Rajab 1433H / 30^th May 2012: INDEX KSA, the Saudi Arabian edition of the region’s largest interiors and design exhibition, opened yesterday with over 1,500 people visiting the show on its first day. The exhibition, organised by M.I.C.E. Arabia Exhibitions and Conferences Company and dmg :: events, was officially inaugurated by Mr. Adnan Mandora, Secretary General of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, yesterday and will run until Thursday 31^st May, at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.

The exhibition, which is being held for the first time ever in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the Patronage of Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel, President of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has already proved its worth as a business and networking platform for the interior design industry and is set to become a yearly appointment in the country’s event calendar.

Commenting on the participation at the show Igor Bokov, Owner of Amber Gallery said “INDEX KSA is giving us the incredible opportunity to showcase our products and to interact with the interior design Saudi Arabian community. The first two days of the show have been really hectic, many visitors stopped by our stand and we created new business contacts.  We're glad to be participating at the exhibition".

INDEX KSA is hosting 220 exhibitors displaying their latest products and projects at the show, some of which are making their debut in the Saudi market. The exhibition welcomes local, regional and international brands with 27 countries represented at the show including France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea and Brazil.

INDEX KSA brings together the best and most innovative solutions for the interiors design market – estimated to be worth SR4.5billion - in response to the incredible growth registered in the construction sector in the country. From lights, furniture and kitchens to bathroom, outdoor furniture and textiles, the show covers six different sectors giving designers, architects, industry professionals and the design-passionate the chance to see the latest in product design and interior trends
